George Armstrong, one of FRB's volunteers, is in Bosnia learning about the programming FRB is supporting through its members and partners. FRB leads 5 or 6 trips per year and invites volunteers to come along and see the outcomes of the programs they are supporting through their community growing projects. Volunteers pay for their own trips and learn how important their encouagement is to people around the world. If you would like to travel with FRB, let us know.... marv@foodsresourcebank.org
Excerpts from Bev's trip notes....
"Gordana’s calf is six months old, greatly loved by her two children, and very tame in a barn with some goats and pigs. She describes herself as a city girl who cares for the animals alone as her husband seeks seasonal work. It was a blessing to have a general impression of this community where 7 program cows were placed as part of the program is that there are many more younger people and more infrastructure than two years ago. Steady employment, however, remains a significant issue for people wherever we visited."
